Job Summary: The vacancy is for the position of Assistant Manager in Management Consulting. The nature of projects done in Management Consulting are:

  • Process & internal controls consulting
  • ERP & process implementation
  • Business strategy
  • Cost optimization
  • Working capital optimization
  • Employee performance management systems, etc.
  • Production improvement using TOC concepts
  • Startup business plan, feasibility & investor pitches
  • Sales & profit improvement
  • Organization structuring
  • Supply chain efficiency

Responsibilities: The candidate will lead client team(s) for the above types of projects. The role varies based on the nature of the project, but would broadly include the following:

  • Led teams of 2-8 members in performing the above projects for clients.
  • Provide practical solutions to business problems by identifying gaps and inefficiencies in the current working.
  • Prepare for & lead reviews with client CEOs & other senior management.
  • Meet client employees in different departments & levels to enable the effective implementation of suggested processes & solutions.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, etc.
  • Train in-house talent to acquire consulting skill sets.

Skill Requirments:

  • Understanding of internal controls, ERP & business processes.
  • Great problem-solving skills & communication (English compulsory; Tamil preferable).
  • Has led teams & is driven to work independently.

Preferred Prior Experience:

  • Experience in process & supply chain consulting.
  • Employees from management consulting depts. of firms such as Big 4, PKF S&S, Grand Thornton, etc.
  • Employees of reputed audit firms wishing to make a career shift into management consulting.
